We are a Registered Social Landlord and a Registered Charity, meeting housing needs throughout East Lothian.
Established in 1998, we are a small organisation with 305 properties, which provides affordable homes from a base in Haddington, with a small team of 9 staff.
We are a membership organisation, and aim to attract people from the groups and communities we serve to become members of Homes for Life. We welcome membership applications from tenants and service users, other persons who support the objects of Home for Life and members of the local community.
Members of Homes for Life are those people who whose names are entered into the Register of Members. More information can be found in our Membership Policy and the application to become a member can be found here.
Homes for Life are not currently recruiting for new Board members.
However, we are all always keen to hear from enthusiastic individuals with a background in social housing or the public sector wanting to register their interest for future Board vacancies.
All Board directors are offered an induction and training. All Board meetings are currently conducted at our Haddington offices and the Board meets Quarterly. We operate a main Board, as well a Committee for Audit & Risk. Co-optees are re-elected annually following our AGM.
